Note about Volunteering in Light of COVID-19
While we wait for Washington State to complete its phased reopening following the coronavirus outbreak, we have paused most of our volunteer work to protect our homeowners and preserve our limited supply of Personal Protective Equipment. We do have a small number of projects which are either urgent needs or can be mostly completed off-site by skilled volunteers. If you’re interested in supporting that work and willing to follow specific procedures to protect against the transmission of the coronavirus, please email us at email@example.com.
9/11 Day of Remembrance
Due to schedule adjustments around the coronavirus and staff capacity, we will not be hosting a 9/11 Day of Remembrance [Re]Build this fall.
Each October, volunteers head to local homes to build wheelchair ramps for our neighbors in need. These ramps truly transform the lives of these neighbors; they can freely leave their homes for doctor’s appointments, visits with families, and trips to the store. Typically, 5 ramps are built in a single day by 5 teams. RampUp 2020 will be on Saturday October 24th in conjunction with our Fall Rebuilding Day.
Check back in August for the project sign up link or fill out our Volunteer Interest form.
Veteran’s Day [Re]Build
Join us as we honor our local veterans by having a [Re]Build day just for them. Teams work with contractors to provide home modifications and repairs for low-income veterans. The project scopes will vary based on the individual veterans needs; it’s best to plan for some indoor and outdoor work! Our Veteran’s Day [Re]Build will be held on Saturday November 7th.
Check back in September for the project sign up link or fill out our Volunteer Interest form.
If you're in construction or interested in joining us as a project leader, this is the sign up for you. Project details and locations will be shared after sign up.
